Applications are invited from unmarried Male Candidates for Enrollment as Sailors for Artificer Apprentice (AA) - 131st Batch. Course Commencing February 2012.

Eligibility Conditions:
Age : Candidates born between 31 January 1992 to 30th January 1995 (both dates inclusive)
Educational Qualifications : 55% or more marks in aggregate in 10+2/equivalent examination with complusary subjects Physics and Mathematics : optional subjects Chemistry/ Biology/ Computer Science.

Pay : PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 Grade Pay Rs. 2000 plus MSP Rs. 2000 plus X group Pay Rs. 1400 plus allowances.

Selection Criteria : On basis of  merit on their performance in Written test, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in the Medical Examinations.

How to Apply: Application Forms, in prescribed format, and complete in all respects must be sent by Ordinary Post only with the type of entry, choice of centre and percentage of marks in 10+2 is to be clearly written on top of the envelope containing the application. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is going to hold the CDS Examination (I), 2011 on dated 18th September, 2011 for entry to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy and Air force Academy. Courses commencing from July, 2012 and Officers Training Academy, Chennai for the courses (Men and Women) commencing from October, 2012.

Following are details of vacancies:
Indian Military Academy, Dehradun : 250 posts
Naval Academy, Goa : 40 posts
Air Force Academy, Hyderabad : 32 posts
Officers Training Academy , Chennai : 175 posts
Officers Training Academy, Chennai (Women) : 25 posts

Eligibility Criteria:

(A) Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status: 

For Indian Millitary Academy : Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1988 and not later than 1st January 1993
For Naval Academy : Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1990 (2nd January, 1988 in case of NCC Naval wing 'C' certificate holders) and not later than 1st January 1993 only are eligible.
For Air Force Academy : Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1989 and not later than 1st January 1993
For Officers' Training Academy - (SSC Course for Men) : Male candidates (Unmarried or Married) born not earlier than 2nd January, 1987 and not later than 1st January 1993
For Officers Training Academy - SSC (Women Non- Technical) Course :  (a) Unmarried Women, issue less widows who have not remarried, and issue less divorcees (in possession of divorcee documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been not earlier than 2nd January, 1987 and not later than 1st January, 1993.

(B) Educational Qualifications:

For Indian Millitary Academy and Officers' Training Academy : Degree
For Naval Academy : B.Sc. (with Physics & Mathematics ) or Bachelor of Engineering.
For Air Force Academy: Degree (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering Candidates who are studying in final year Degree Course and yet to pass final year degree examination or equivalent, but have to submit proof of passing the Degree Examination or equivalent by the specified dates.

Fee : Rs. 100/- through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only.  No fee for  SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of fees.
