Applications are invited from male Indian Nationals (ST Category only) for recruitment to the post of Navik (General Duty) in the Indian Coast Guard, an Armed force of the Union

Navik (General Duty): 52 Posts Age: Born between 01 Feb 1985 to 31 Jan 1994.
Educational Qualification: 10+2 with Maths and Physics from an education board recognized by Central/State Government
Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2000/-

How to Apply: Applications can be downloaded from the Indian Coast Guard Website. The application is to be submitted on plain paper in the prescribed form and is sent to the address of Zonal Recruitment Centre. Attested copies of Certificates as Proof of Age, educational qualification and a self addressed envelope of size 22x10 cms are to be attached with the application form. Applications must be sent through Ordinary post, and applications sent through speed post/registered post will be rejected.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is going to hold the CDS Examination (I), 2011 on dated 18th September, 2011 for entry to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy and Air force Academy. Courses commencing from July, 2012 and Officers Training Academy, Chennai for the courses (Men and Women) commencing from October, 2012.

Following are details of vacancies:
Indian Military Academy, Dehradun : 250 posts
Naval Academy, Goa : 40 posts
Air Force Academy, Hyderabad : 32 posts
Officers Training Academy , Chennai : 175 posts
Officers Training Academy, Chennai (Women) : 25 posts

Eligibility Criteria:

(A) Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status: 

For Indian Millitary Academy : Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1988 and not later than 1st January 1993
For Naval Academy : Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1990 (2nd January, 1988 in case of NCC Naval wing 'C' certificate holders) and not later than 1st January 1993 only are eligible.
For Air Force Academy : Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1989 and not later than 1st January 1993
For Officers' Training Academy - (SSC Course for Men) : Male candidates (Unmarried or Married) born not earlier than 2nd January, 1987 and not later than 1st January 1993
For Officers Training Academy - SSC (Women Non- Technical) Course :  (a) Unmarried Women, issue less widows who have not remarried, and issue less divorcees (in possession of divorcee documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been not earlier than 2nd January, 1987 and not later than 1st January, 1993.

(B) Educational Qualifications:

For Indian Millitary Academy and Officers' Training Academy : Degree
For Naval Academy : B.Sc. (with Physics & Mathematics ) or Bachelor of Engineering.
For Air Force Academy: Degree (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering Candidates who are studying in final year Degree Course and yet to pass final year degree examination or equivalent, but have to submit proof of passing the Degree Examination or equivalent by the specified dates.

Fee : Rs. 100/- through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only.  No fee for  SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of fees.

 Indian army has advertised for Recruitment of Havildar Education in the Army Educational Corps in Group 'X' and 'Y'

Havildar Education Corps in Group X and Y : 178 posts (Science- 110, Arts - 168), Age : 20 to 25 years as on 07/03/2011, Educational : Group X - BA, B.Ed. or B.Sc. B.Ed. or BCA B.Ed. or MA or M.Sc or MCA. from any recognised university. Group Y - BA or B.Sc.or BCA  without B.Ed. from any recognised university. The candidates should have working knowledge of either english or Hindi or both. Also in the graduation at least two of the following subjects should be at the graduation level : B.Sc. / BCA - Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Electronics, Computer Science, BA - English Literature, Hindi   Literature, Urdu Literature, History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, Psychology, Mathematics, Sociology, Pay Scale : PB-1  Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade Pay  Rs. 2800 + Millitary Service Pay  Rs. 2000 + X Group pay  Rs. 1400/-
 
Selection Procedure : First there will a screening of the candiddates for (i) Physical fitness Test and (ii) Medical Standards and (iii) those candidates selected in the screening and are medically fit will be permitted to apear in the written examination which will be conducted on at HQ Recruiting Zone/ IRO Delhi Cantt on 31/07/2011. After this written examination those who will be declared successfull in the written exam will called for interview and training aptitude test at Panchmarhi (MP)Candidates are required to submit their duly filled application Form along with all required documents as per he format duly suprscribed " APPLICATION FOR HAVILDAR EDUCATION" on the top outer cover of the envelope to the Headquater Recruitment Zone/ IRO Delhi Cantt of which the individual is domicile of and that he has to appear for written examination from same HQ Recruitment Zone only.
